The Volunteer Internship program is primarily supported by the Westchester Department of Community Mental Health. This funding allows The Volunteer Center to help people recovering from mental illness with transitional employment services by placing them in volunteer internships. |

City of New Rochelle
The Volunteer Center formed a partnership with the City of New Rochelle in September of 2006, promoting volunteering in the City of New Rochelle through a combination of nonprofit training and publicity. One of the key components of this partnership is the link to The Volunteer Center’s website that is on the City of New Rochelle homepage. Since the launch of this partnership, volunteer rates have doubled in New Rochelle. |
