Who we are today
Nonprofits in Westchester and Putnam need more than 12,000 new volunteers every year to accomplish their work. At the same time there are thousands of people of all ages who want to get involved but don’t know how.
The Volunteer Center is not only the central place for volunteers to get matched every day – it is also where nonprofits and businesses come for training and support in creating effective volunteer programs.
The Volunteer Center works with over 600 nonprofits in the community and refers over 11,000 people to service each year. The Volunteer Center also works collaboratively with many community partners to create innovative strategies to solve community issues.
