Leadership Westchester is a ten-month development program that shapes the people who will influence the world of tomorrow.
Eighteen emerging leaders are selected to meet with today's authorities in an environment that enhances both personal and professional growth and the growth of the community.
Under the guidance of a professional facilitator, participants refine leadership skills and learn important information on Westchester's current social, political, and economic climate.
At the monthly classes, attendees participate in stimulating roundtable discussions as community experts, decision-makers, and other guest speakers lead them toward a fuller understanding of today's most compelling issues.
The Leadership Westchester members are informed about violence and criminal justice, human service needs, government, the arts, homelessness, education and economic development. Sessions are held at locations around Westchester to demonstrate the county's geographic complexity.
