What is WAVA?
WAVA is an association of professional volunteer administrators in Westchester and Putnam counties established to promote volunteerism, provide professional development opportunities, encourage an information exchange and offer a support network for WAVA members.
Why Join WAVA?
The benefits of membership in WAVA are many and varied. They are reflected in its goals, which are to:
- Promote volunteerism
- Supply up-to-date information about developments in the field
- Foster personal and professional growth by scheduling training workshops and lectures by specialists
- Provide opportunities to benefit from the knowledge and experience of colleagues and learn about/visit their organizations
- Facilitate networking and share news of job openings
- Serve as a support network for those new to volunteer administration
