One of The Volunteer Center’s highest priorities is to help connect you with the volunteers who can help you. There is no single recruitment method to bring in volunteers so we offer a variety of services.
Listing on website: You can list your volunteer opportunities on our website. Potential volunteers can then search through volunteer opportunities by interest, location, and agePotential volunteers can then search through volunteer opportunities by interest, location, and age.
Printed Volunteer Listings and Books: The Volunteer Center prints a yearly Youth Volunteer Guidebook as well as periodic listings for targeted recruitment such as our Yonkers Volunteer Guidebook.
Media: The Volunteer Center prints over 50 stories in local media each year with our partner agencies’ volunteer needs.
Website: Our website features pictures and stories of volunteers at our partner agencies.
Outreach: The Volunteer Center staffs tables and booths at local fairs, makes presentations, and distributes materials about your volunteer needs throughout Westchester and Putnam.
